HollowlightFXFrequently asked questions
What do I get when I buy?
An instant digital download from Etsy: a PDF with a link to a folder containing your full-quality MP4 video, any bonus clips and setup guides. Nothing physical is shipped.
What file format and resolution are the videos?
MP4 video files in HD: 1080p or 720p depending on the projection (each product page lists its resolution).
Will it work with my projector?
Yes, if your projector can play an MP4 video, from USB, HDMI (laptop, phone, streaming stick) or a built-in media app. Any brand works.
Do I need a special screen?
No. A white sheet or shower curtain works. A rear-projection screen or window film gives a brighter, crisper image. See our setup guide.
Does the video loop?
Yes. Each video starts and ends on the same frame, so it loops seamlessly all night when you set your player to repeat.
Do the videos have sound?
It depends on the video. Gary's Bad Jokes has voices, the Horseman has sound effects, the Banshee and Nun have spooky audio, and Bargain Skeleton is silent so you can add music.
Are the videos made with AI?
Yes. HollowlightFX videos are created by me using AI video tools, then edited into seamless loops and tested for projection.
Can I get a refund?
Because these are digital downloads, they can't be returned or refunded. If you have trouble accessing your files, message the shop on Etsy and I'll be glad to help.
Can I use them for something besides windows?
Yes: walls, garage doors, TVs, haunted house events and parties. They're for personal display; please don't resell or redistribute the files.
